Sadiq Khan MP said:
“I was really pleased to join everyone at Tooting Gymnastics Club to celebrate their 25th anniversary – what an achievement! As the local MP, and as a parent who’s daughters attend the club, I have seen first-hand the fantastic work of the club and all of their coaches and volunteers. It is great to see the club’s founder Mary is still leading the club and continues to be an inspiration to all their members.
“I would like to thank Beth Tweddle for coming along to join in the celebrations. She is a shining of example of what can be achieved if you really work hard, and her attendance at the club’s anniversary celebrations really helped to inspire the club’s gymnasts.”
Founding member and Head Coach, Mary Wright said:
“Everyone at the club was delighted and honoured that special guests Sadiq Khan MP and Olympic Gymnast Beth Tweddle MBE, were able to join us for this special celebration.
“It was a great opportunity to reminisce over the last 25 years, with old members and new, and to recognise the commitment and hard work of our many coaches and volunteers.”
