Sadiq celebrates architecture award with Burntwood School

Sadiq joined architects and representatives from RIBA to visit Burntwood School to celebrate the winning of the Stirling Prize, the most prestigious architecture award in the country.

Sadiq Khan MP said:

“After a long campaign together with the school to save the BSF funding back in 2010, it is an absolute delight to see the new Burntwood School buildings recognised with such a prestigious architecture award.

“It was a pleasure to meet with Head Teacher, Helen Dorfman, the architects and RIBA, to congratulate them on their such a brilliant achievement in person.

“Burntwood students are extremely fortunate to have such fantastic facilities and inspiring learning environment – however since the government slashed funding for new school buildings I worry that children across London will not get the same experience.”
